Tufts Veterinary Field Service (TVFS) at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a clinical track faculty position at the level of Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The position will primarily serve the herd health, reproductive and emergency needs of our dairy clients, while also having responsibilities for routine and emergency care of horses and small ruminants in a mixed species large animal practice. TVFS is the primary livestock and equine field service clinical and teaching unit of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, MA. The Tufts Veterinary Field Service is located in Woodstock, CT.
Anticipated percentage responsibilities for this position are approximately 75% clinical service and teaching, 10% classroom and laboratory teaching, 5% administrative service, and 10% time for continuing education and vacation. Opportunities for research and scholarly activity are available and would be encouraged. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate must hold a DVM (or equivalent) degree from an accredited school, have at least three years experience in farm animal-related practice, have demonstrated excellence in dairy production medicine, and have excellent client communication skills. The successful candidate will also have potential or demonstrated excellence in clinical, laboratory and didactic veterinary education. Eligibility for licensure in MA, CT and RI and for federal accreditation is required. Conversational fluency in Spanish is considered an asset.
